I am starting an ebay consignment business and know how to run it. But I was wondering what to do if I sell my own stuff? Do I set up a different account and sell my personal stuff(do I have to do taxes on that?)? Or if I use my consignment business account, how do I do taxes on that? Is the sell price considered ALL my profit, or do I subtract what I paid(and why wouldn't I just say that I made only a few dollars on items I bought at rummage sales?)? Hope this makes sense!
