Spotting Fake Mario Kart DS game

I am an avid game collector and gamer, I recentlywon an auction for a Nintendo Mario Kart DS game which was listed as "NEW" in factory wrap and was dissappointed to discover it was not an authentic Nintendo DS game, so I thought I'd share my experience with otherbuyers hope you find this guide helpful.

First sign that something was amiss was the cover. It did not properly fit the game case so I decided to do some research and this is what I found:FRONT COVER
1. The print on the cover was indeed darker than the "official" nintendo game cover.2. The redtext box on thespine of the game case, which contains the game title, was off centered and some of the red was visible on the front of thecase.3. The inside of the case, which was incredibly close to the original nintendo case, had the raised "Nintedo DS" logo on the right of the box and the Patent pending Model No. NTR- 006however,the iterior spine had two small, round, factory, mold place holders which do not appear in official nintendo game cases (See pic 2 white circles indicatearea mentioned).4. The booklet while well printed had a red line going down it's spine, orginal booklet does not. Also the quality of the paper i.e the sheen was not the same as the official instruction booklet. 5. Missing Wi-Fi instruction booklet which gees with all Wi-Fi games.6. Missing the Nintendo Power Pin Insert which awards you points atnintendo.ge for registering your product. Note not all games have this pin insert however this particular game is one which awards you points for registration.Note: 5 and 6 above should be in the case if it is indeed an official "Factory Sealed" Nintendo Game.GAME CARTRIDGE:The actual game cartridge appeared authentic but there were someslight differences as outlined:1.off centered game label2.Label artworkwas the same as the cover, the Official version has a light checkerboard (black
